The radio is a Bluetooth® receiver. Once paired, you can send Bluetooth® audio from a Bluetooth® device, such as your smartphone or tablet over to the radio.
With the addition of Bluetooth® you can receive an immense palate of new radio shows accessible from any smart speaker that can pair with a Bluetooth® speaker (such as newer model or updated Alexa Echo devices, Google Home devices, etc.) or smart phone. The amount of audio content you can receive is almost infinite. Your phone or speaker can also act as a remote control when using Bluetooth®.
The CCRadio 3 still has its exceptional reception for long range AM/FM stations along with emergency capabilities. The accurate voice reproduction of the CCRadio 3 gives you a seamless audio experience. Audio quality for the spoken word is so good it sounds like the person is next to you. When listening to your favorite radio show, podcast or audio book you become part of it. Separate bass and treble knobs can be adjusted to your perfect pitch. If you listen primarily to voice content, the CCRadio 3's audio is arguably worth the price alone.
Notes: Bluetooth® normally introduces noise on AM and FM due to the digital circuits. The CCRadio 3 is one of the few high-performance radios with Bluetooth® that has no detectable noise and some of the best reception available. CCRadio 3 is otherwise the same as the CCRadio 2E but with one small improvement; you can now toggle between AM/FM band rather than scroll through all the bands.
Weight: 4 lbs (without optional batteries) Size: 11" W x 6.5" H x 4" D.
Battery Operated (4) D sized batteries (not included) or use the included AC power cord.

The radio is a Bluetooth® receiver. Once paired, you can send Bluetooth® audio from a Bluetooth® device, such as your smartphone or tablet over to the radio.
A set of D Alkaline batteries rated at 21000 mAh would provide roughly 250 hours of runtime. This is based on AM band usage and if the radio is played at a moderate volume level with the display light off.
The power cord is 6 feet long.
Plug a device, such as a portable CD player or mp3 player, into the "AUX IN " jack, located on the back of the radio. Turn radio on then hold down the "AM/FM/AUX" button for three seconds. The radio will beep and you will see the word "AUX" in the display.
The battery indicator will display the battery level for approximately two seconds when the radio is switched off. After removing dead batteries for replacement, you have approximately three minutes to replace the batteries before your clock and memory information will be lost (if the radio is not plugged in).
Technically NO. We do not recommend using Lithium type batteries due to the higher voltage they produce. Even though the specifications for some lithium batteries state 1.5 volts, they can register up to 1.8 volts when they are fresh. Our products are designed to operate on a very light load. Using lithium batteries that register higher (using a voltmeter) than 1.6 volts can cause damage to our products.
Yes, your radio can continuously scan through available frequencies, stopping on stations with strong signals. To activate this feature, press in and release the tuning knob. To stop on a station, press and release the tuning knob or any button, except the power button.
